WaveAgain

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

WaveAgain is an iPhone and iPad app from Awesome People Software, LLC. It is designed to help you notice and reconnect with people already in your Contacts while keeping contact and message information private.

Information WaveAgain Uses on Your Device

With your permission, WaveAgain reads Contacts information such as names, contact identifiers, profile images, favorites, phone numbers, and email addresses. WaveAgain uses this information on your device to build the People feed, let you choose your own contact for My Card, open an individual call, email, or message action that you initiate, and detect profile-image changes.

WaveAgain may also use a photo you explicitly choose, or a photo you take, to create your own local card and status designs. The app stores its own settings, hidden-person choices, observed photo history, temporary status state, and Last wave history locally on your device and, for widgets, in WaveAgain's private App Group container.

WaveAgain does not upload your address book, contact profile images, selected photos, status designs, or Wave history to Awesome People Software or RevenueCat. It does not read Messages, iMessage, or SMS history. Opening a message composer is always initiated by you, and WaveAgain never silently sends a message.

Permissions

  • Contacts: used to create the private People feed and let you select your own contact for My Card.
  • Photos and Camera: used only when you choose an image or take a photo for your own card.
  • Notifications: used only if a version of WaveAgain offers reminders or digests and you enable them. Notification preferences and schedules are managed on your device.

You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. Some WaveAgain features will not work without the related permission.

Messages and Calls

WaveAgain does not read your message history and does not send messages or place calls automatically. When you choose to wave or call, WaveAgain opens the iOS Messages or Phone experience with the contact details and message you selected. You remain in control of whether to send the message or place the call.

Purchases and RevenueCat

WaveAgain uses Apple's in-app purchase system and RevenueCat to offer and restore WaveAgain Pro. When purchase features are configured, purchase and entitlement information is sent to RevenueCat so it can validate transactions, prevent fraud, restore access, and provide purchase analytics to Awesome People Software. RevenueCat generates an anonymous app user identifier because WaveAgain has no account system and does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, Contacts data, or an advertising identifier. RevenueCat describes its practices in its privacy policy.

Apple handles payment entry. WaveAgain and RevenueCat do not receive your payment-card number or bank-account details.

Notifications, Widgets, and Background Work

WaveAgain's launch configuration keeps app notifications disabled. If a future version lets you enable local notifications, their content and schedule are created on your device; WaveAgain does not use a remote marketing-notification service.

WaveAgain widgets read only the local data that the app writes to its private App Group. iOS may give WaveAgain limited background execution time to refresh local contact observations, widget data, or an expired status. Background work does not upload your Contacts.

Data We Do Not Collect

WaveAgain has no account, public profile, followers, advertising SDK, tracking SDK, or data broker integration. Awesome People Software does not collect your Contacts, selected photos, message history, precise or coarse location, health or fitness information, sensitive information, browsing history, or search history through the app.

If you choose Send Feedback, WaveAgain opens your own mail app. Your email provider and Awesome People Software will process the message and address you choose to send under their applicable privacy practices. WaveAgain does not silently send support information.

Retention and Deletion

WaveAgain keeps app-owned data locally until you clear it through an available in-app control or remove the app. You can revoke Contacts, Photos, Camera, or notification permission at any time in iOS Settings. Removing the app deletes its local container; iOS may manage App Group and backup data according to your device and iCloud settings.

Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records as needed to provide purchases, restore entitlements, meet contractual obligations, prevent fraud, and comply with law. To request access, correction, or deletion of data controlled by Awesome People Software, contact us using the address below. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or accounting reasons.

Security and Changes

WaveAgain minimizes off-device data by processing Contacts and images locally. Purchase-service traffic uses the security provided by Apple, iOS, and RevenueCat. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

We may update this policy when WaveAgain's features or service providers change. The published policy will show its latest revision date, and material changes will be reflected in the app or App Store information when required.
